Our Philosophy

At ELAD, our philosophy is embodied in our name: Effort, Love, Action, and Determination. These principles guide every interaction and inform every program, ensuring we deliver holistic support and meaningful change.

E - EFFORT:

We believe that sustained effort is foundational to growth and
success. Our commitment is to consistently demonstrate maximum effort in
caring for the youth we serve. We lead by example, fostering an environment built on

trust, encouragement, support and accountability, thereby guiding young people toward positive life trajectories.

L - LOVE:

Our work is driven by a profound love for life, for the potential within
every young person, and for the betterment of society. This love manifests through our dedicated actions

and unwavering commitment to our programs. We strive to embody an unconditional positive regard, demonstrating a
transformative love that empowers youth to break cycles of destruction prevalent in underserved communities,

inspiring them to extend this same love and dedication to others as they build productive lives.

A - ACTION:

We are agents of positive change. ELAD provides a safe and nurturing haven for independent thought and personal growth.

We equip young people with the essential tools and resilience needed to resist negative influences such as dropping out

of school or engaging in detrimental activities. We are committed to being the change we wish to see in the world,

actively guiding youth through a process of positive transformation.

D - DETERMINATION:

Our determination is unwavering. We are resolutely committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of the youth we serve. Our ultimate goal is to reshape the projected outcomes for children from underserved communities. We tirelessly engage in

the necessary work to help these young individuals recognize and realize their boundless potential, fostering in them the determination to achieve anything they aspire to be.

Our Strategic Plan:

Cultivating Future Leaders

ELADs comprehensive plan is designed to deliver targeted, impactful support to youth from kindergarten through 12th grade,

and transitional-aged youth, building a foundation for lifelong success. This emphasis underscores ELADs
commitment to nurturing young individuals at every critical stage of their development.

1. Individualized Engagement: We meticulously identify youth who will benefit most from our programs. Each child's unique needs are assessed separately, and an individualized development plan is crafted, drawing upon the

core tenets of the ELAD Philosophy.

2. Collaborative Development: We foster strong partnerships with the youth and their families to develop tailored plans.

These plans focus on educational enrichment and exposing children to new technologies and diverse opportunities.

3. Broadening Horizons: We provide youth with invaluable exposure to new environments, cultures, and subcultures through

a diverse range of experiences. This includes educational outings to museums and theaters, enriching field trips,
character-building camping excursions, and engaging sporting events. Our aim is to expand their perspectives, stimulate intellectual curiosity, and facilitate meaningful connections with individuals they might not otherwise encounter.

4. Empowerment and Accountability: We empower our youth by instilling a strong sense of pride in their heritage and personal identity. Our programs emphasize accountability for one's actions, foster positive relationships with community figures such as law enforcement, and integrate youth into decision-making processes regarding their own development.

This approach cultivates a profound sense of accomplishment and dignity.

5. Parental Partnership: We actively work with parents, providing resources and support to enhance their self-esteem and parenting skills. Our goal is to equip parents with the tools to confidently nurture their children, promote healthy living,

and build strong, supportive relationships, all within a fun and engaging framework.

6. Community Resource Hubs: Our long-term vision includes the development and opening of ELAD Resource Centers within these communities. These centralized locations will serve as a "home away from home, offering a safe space where youth can develop essential life skills, receive ongoing support, and feel secure as they navigate their journey

toward self-sufficiency and positive community engagement.
